Yoga Therapy – The Process

If you are interested in booking in for yoga therapy, there are three program options:

  1. INITIAL YOGA THERAPY CONSULT = 1hr
  • Comprises full case history, thorough physical and postural examination, strength and flexibility testing
  • Identification of key problem areas
  • Development of basic home program
  • Expertly taught ~2 specific home exercises
  • Photographs/videos of you may be taken to ensure you remember your program
  1. FOLLOW UP SESSION:
  •  Review home exercises
  • Discuss any issues and other areas you want to work on
  • Provide Personalised home exercise program with photos to ensure you remember your sequence
  • Demonstration and teaching of each exercise

Then you have the option as to whether you continue by yourself at home  OR  join a small group to ensure you have adequate supervision.

** The first option suits people who live far away or who have a decent existing home yoga practice.

  1. SMALL GROUP SUPERVISED SESSIONS:
  • Class size of less than 6 people
  • Aim to develop your home program to ensure it is challenging you
  • Postural correction to ensure you are doing the exercises correctly
  • Recommended for up to 6 weeks only
  • Then you should feel confident to continue your program at home
