Are you suffering from Foot Pain or Ankle Injury?
The human foot is a strong and complex mechanical structure containing 26 bones, 33 joints and more than a hundred muscles, tendons and ligaments. The two important functions of the foot are weight bearing and propulsion. These functions require a high degree of stability.
Pain in the foot or ankle can be caused by an injury or from overuse after taking up running the coastal track. Rolled ankles are very common in basketball or netball, pain in the sole of the foot when getting up in the morning is indicative of plantar fasciitis and pain standing on hard surfaces can irritate the fat pad. A thorough history and examination will help us determine the true cause of your foot pain and we use a variety of specialised techniques to balance and mobilise those stiff joints.
